Greenbush Presbyterian Church would be delighted to welcome you and perhaps become your church home!
Our Sunday School has just resurrected! We have eight new children, most of them quite young. Each child has received a portrait of their choosing of Jesus framed for their homes, an ornament for their family’s tree, and a storybook about Jesus’ birth.
After Advent (beginning December 27, we will resume an Adult Learning, Prayer, and Song session for church school parents and for adults wanting more food for thought and action, 11:30-12:15. You would be welcome at either Sunday activity; and your middle school or high school youth are invited to our Interchurch Youth Group (middle and high school), as of January 10 shifting to Sunday afternoon/evening where Middle Schoolers meet first (5pm), all youth eat together (6), and High School youth meet last (6:30), all at Tappan Reformed Church, on the Tappan Green.

We are located in Blauvelt (Rockland County, NY, not far south of the Palisades Mall) on Western Highway (which runs parallel to the west of Route 303 from Route 59 to New Jersey) not far north of the intersection with Erie Street. While this area was settled by Dutch Protestants, we affirm that Rockland County is increasingly pluralistic. Therefore, we are always seeking ways to work with neighboring congregations (Thanksgiving with St. Catharine's R.C. Church, Good Friday with 8 Protestant churches, Youth Group with another Presbyterian and two Reformed congregations (see last paragraph & calendar), a recent Fall Festival with the Tappan Reformed Church). We are exploring interfaith opportunities. All are welcome at any Greenbush event.
The church has a lovely pipe organ and carillon (you can hear seasonal hymns at noon and six pm each day); the facility has great flexibility - seating can be easily shifted; community groups are welcome to share the space. A Korean congregation (Woon Gwang Church) and nationally certified preschool/day care program partner with us year-round. We are proud to share our space with boy and girl scouting, cultural and community service groups, Alcoholics Anonymous, and those who attend our well-known chicken barbecue, soup suppers, Penny Social, and garage/rummage sales.
Join us one Sunday at 10:15 am (one-hour worship) or 11:45 (adult learning and worship) in the church sanctuary. Also try our Thursday Evening Family of Faith Devotions, 6:45-7:30 pm. Interchurch Senior High Youth Group meets at Greenbush every Thursday at 5 pm; Middle School Youth Group meets every Sunday at Nauraushaun Presbyterian Church at 5 pm. 90 minutes for both, including dinner.
We intend to show you welcome, loving-kindness, lively faith, and opportunities to learn and grow together.
